This policy explains how Nerds2u Ltd collects and uses personal data across all our services. We are the data controller for our own customer data. Where we manage your IT under a support package, we act as a data processor for the data in your systems, under your instructions.

1. The data we collect

Contact & account: name, email, phone, address, business name.
Service data: details of your device, the fault, and work carried out; for device hire, identification for security purposes.
Device contents: during a repair we may have access to data on your device. We only access what's needed for the work and treat it as confidential.
Managed-service data: where we manage your IT, we process the business and personal data within the systems we look after (for example Microsoft 365, endpoint and backup tools) on your behalf.
Payment data: taken by our payment providers; we do not store full card details.
Website data: cookies and analytics when you use our site (section 7).
Forms & ads: information you submit through our website, our booking pages, or through forms on Facebook and Instagram (including lead forms attached to our ads).

2. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To provide the service or product you asked for (performance of a contract); to keep you updated and provide support (contract and legitimate interests); to keep our business secure and improve it (legitimate interests); to meet legal, tax and accounting duties (legal obligation); and for marketing only where you've agreed (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
